Up at 6:30am. Just switched to a new clock-radio, which has a different alarm noise than the old one. Waking up is much easier at the moment.
Read the paper on the new futon. Dinked around a bit. Eventually TheWife and TheBaby got up, and we moved into the breakfast phase of the day. After that, it was showers and getting dressed and out the door for a bit of shopping. We went 1/2 on the "buy this" list: we did get a home theater system, but were unable to find a battery that TheWife has been hunting for. Post-shopping, our search for a lunch destination lead us up to Fredrick, where we found a nice new place. Back home the slow, back way, arriving around 5pm.
Started working on unpacking the new stereo and dismantling the old one. Lots and lots of cables to untangle. Finally got all the old stuff broken down and the new stuff hooked up -- with an interruption for dinner. Managed to get the TiVo set to record the Sunday night shows, which was the big deal; still don't have the three rear speakers hooked up, because that's going to entail wall mounts and actually measuring speaker wire runs (instead of the guesstimate method I used for the three front speakers). Even without the full surround effect, the system sounds pretty nice.
Bit of trouble getting TheBaby down to sleep, as her schedule was totally disrupted all day. Finally got her snoozing by putting her into our bed and going to sleep next to her. After a while, TheWife woke me up and we transfered TheBaby into her crib, which had been relocated into her room earlier in the day. This is the first night that TheBaby hasn't slept in the same room as either TheWife or I, so it was a pretty big step.
Quick mail check at that point, and then off to bed for me too -- lights out at 12:30am.
