Up at 5:30am. Did my normal morning thing, had a workout, got TheBaby ready to get her day on, dealt with the log server going down at work (or dealt as best I could, being at home), and started removing the masking tape in the study (after TheWife declared a third coat of the red to be unneccessary). Spent too much time doing that, so was late getting off to work, and then the commute in, in a light rain, was sucky.
Got in slightly late, which worked out okay, given that a had a 10:30am meeting, and wouldn't have gotten anything done in the morning anyway. Mail catchup after that, then lunch. Post-lunch, dealt with the fallout from the logserver downtime, and chased down a problem with the new log rotation scheme. Ad hoc meeting to discuss that, followed by a rollback to the old scheme. Code hacking to try and fix the scheme delayed until tomorrow.
Bereft of motivation, headed home around 5pm. Finished de-masking the study -- easily the best part of the painting experience. Found a number of places needing touch-up; created a few others while removing the tape. Touch-up is going to take another week or so to complete, but the room is looking pretty good.
Took a walk after dinner and saw some cicada larva making the long climb up, for their molts. Got some nice pictures of that. Couched out and caught up on mail and the web and stuff, then a spot of blogging, then bed, around 11:30pm.
