Up around 6:30am. Earsplitingly loud hotel alarm clock -- on TheWife's side of the bed -- is not a good way to start the day. TheBaby wanted to sleep late, and breakfast ran long, so we didn't get on the road until almost 9:30am. Unhappy mornings all around.
Drove all day, with a brief stopover in Morgantown, where we hung out with a grad school buddy of TheWife's (who fed us a very tasty dinner -- thanks again!) Back on the road after that, rolling through lovely western Maryland at sunset (and after), chasing low-flying clouds through the passes.
Rolled into the garage at 10:30pm. Got the van unloaded, checked out the house, got rebuffed by the kitties. Stared into the black pit of despair that is several thousand unread work emails, and then headed to bed instead of diving in. Lights out around 11:30pm.
