Out of bed around 6am. Did the morning thing, and just as I was getting ready to grab a workout, TheBaby woke up. The morning was already complicated (TheWife needed to take TheBoyKitty to the groomer first thing, and needed me to watch TheBaby), and the early wakeup put the kibosh on the workout. Ho hum.

Into work around 9:45am, thanks to some gnarly traffic. Team lead meeting early on, followed by lunch, followed by an afternoon spent implementing control of a highly variable file in cfengine. Of course, as soon as I got done (late in the afternoon), I figured out a much less messed-up, much more maintainable way of doing it. Now I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.

Home just after 7pm, thanks to traffic-producing rain. Walked in just in time for dinner, a spicy beef stirfry. We induced TheBaby to try some (okay, TheWife shoveled some into her mouth), and she didn't seem to like it very much -- forehead sweat, runny nose, and quite a bit of crying. A spot of milk helped calm things down, and she dined on baby mush instead.

Random dinking around after dinner, while TheBaby's day came to a close, then TheWife and I watched stage 12 of the Tour. (Yes, we've fallen further behind.) I've been keeping up with the print media stories about the race, so I generally know the outcome, but it's still exciting to actually see things happening. Plus, TheWife has been avoiding news about the race, so it's fun to see her react to things.

The stage was a long one, so we were up rather late. Bed right before 1am.
